Technology I Activities

 

Required Activity: Define all 20 of the T – Z Technology Terms listed on the handout (write complete definitions on handout. Total of 100 pts).  You will be using the handout as your study guide for your Final Exam next week! You can use Webopedia as one of your sources.

 

Before you continue to the remaining activities you must define every word in the handout before submitting it to the teacher.  Place completed handout in the dark green folder assigned to your period on center desk.

 

Rules: 

1.  Do not visit any chat rooms or related sites.

2.  Do check your emails or write an email message.

3.  Do not watch any movies or movie trailers.

4.  Do not visit any music websites or listen/watch music videos.

5.  No headphones.

6.  Do not play any online games except for those listed below.

7.  Remain in your chair for the entire period.  Do not switch chairs. Only one person per computer.

 

Failure to comply will result in loss of Internet access.

 

After you complete the entire T-Z Technology Terms Handout you may select from the following activities (no exceptions):

 

1.  You can continue to work on Excel projects on your own. Do not print any projects.  Save all projects for grading on Thursday.

 

2.  Visit Moneyville and select the Lemonade Stand activity. Attempt to earn a profit.

 

3.  Visit Explore Technology.
    a. Robot Obstacle activity.  Program a robot. 

           b. Password Security Agency. Gain high-level security clearance.

 

4.  Visit Iknowthat.com.

a.   Program a Battlebot.

b.  Like to paint? Visit the Paint Activity.

c.   Create a Laser Light Show.

 

5. National Geographic site for students. Interactive Adventures.

 

6.  Hot Shot Business  - built by the folks at Disney Online.

 

7.  Did you enjoy the Open Heart Surgery activity back in January? Try it again!
